no easy answer

I am currently on page 150 of this amazing book. Chapter five is by far the most interesting section of the book. I talks about how people don't expect the worst which is very bad. In this chapter it also explains in detail how the two kids Eric and Dylan pulled of the shooting. this book also shows how bulling can cause a huge impact. I know that was the reason behind the kill was the bulling that these boys received. if they were never bullied this would have never happened. "waiting outside, Eric and Dylan realized something was wrong. witnesses saw them standing atop the west stair case overlooking the school, perhaps deciding what to do next. underneath their trench coats, they were armed with pipe bombs, cricket bombs, the two shotguns, Eric's Hi-point 9-mili carbine, and Dylan tech 9."(pg.129-130) This quote proves are gun auction also have to be as strike as are gun store because Dylan and Eric had a friend that was 18 buy them the guns. If a auction were safer about selling guns there would be anther way we could stop this from ever happening.

abortion

I believe the national pro-choice web page was a lot better. The reason i believe this is because it has a lot more information on their topic; and it make me feel that it is only right for the woman to decide what they do with their baby not society. I also think that the abortion some medical factors were based on opinion and look like a third grader made the page. I personal think that the pro choice web page won the debate because they had way more information. For example they talk about how doctors were getting bomb threats and getting kiddnapped. this was all because they practiced the safe way of removing a child. to be honest i think it is a great idea for people that cant support a baby. You cant just tell someone youi have to have a baby just because you messed up its not fair and they should be givin another chance. I think the parent should know if your having an abortion because they are your parents and they should support your chioice and help you get through it. I do believe that your father and your mother should have the right to consent to you if you can have a baby or not because they still own you and made you. I agree that with the anti ban of abortion law that stated. " court held that Illinois' ban is unconstitutional because it has no exception to protect women's health and unduly burdens a woman's right to choose." The reason i agree with this is because it is the ture choice of the woman to decide if she wants to abort her baby. It is not the court or the governments right to decide.

no easy answer

In the book no easy answers on chapter eight it talks about Eric a main character who took part in the attack on the Columbine school. I don't not understand way the police did not take his threatening web page serous. On his web page he talked about how he vandalized property and how he wanted to kill everyone he didn't like in the school. He also talked about his old friend Brooks brown, and how he wanted to hurt him for telling on him. Brooks told his parents that he throw a rock at his car and broke the windshield. He also told his parents and the police about his web page. They both sad they would handle it. The police and his parents did nothing. This is what i believe could have stopped the columbine killing. If the police and his parents took the matter serous this would have never happen. This just shows how ablivous are communtiy and country is.

Death Penatly final response

I do believe the abolishment of the death penalty was right because many people that were put on death row were innocent. As it said in the movie Deadline many people were released from prison because of new DNA testing that proved that the prisoner was not any were near the crime scene. This caused a converse on whether or not the death penalty is the right way to punish people for their capital punishments. The reason for Governor Ryan's choices to abolish the death penalty is because of Porter’s release on television. As it states in the article What Killed Illinois' Death Penalty Ryan wondered "how a man could come within 50 hours of being executed, only to be set free by the effort of journalism professor, his students and a private investigator." This just proves that not all people on death row were murders they were wrongly committed.

We should not kill murders with our own way of murder. As it said in What Killed Illinois' Death Penalty John Wayne Gacy was said to be guilty but it was never questioned. He was put to death with little controversy. Before his death, the death sentence and execution hit a record level. Also If Illinois did not put a stop to its death penalty we would still have people getting executed. The record would continue to keep growing; executing someone is a cruel and unusually punishment. Governor Ryan in 2000 put a halt to executions. He then declared a moratorium and found that 61% of the voters did not even know the state still had the death penalty and was shocked. We should not allow the death penalty if not everyone in that state agrees with it.
In Gov. Ryan’s speech he stated that he has changed his mind many times about the death penalty and found that it was wrong. He found out that 33 of the death row inmates were resented by attorneys that later on in their carrier were not allowed to practice law anymore. We don’t know if the inmates would have a better verdict if they didn’t have these attorneys. He also stated that not all death row convictions were fair. They were mainly biest; he found that two thirds of the inmates on death row were Africa America. He stated that he does not know how many convicted people were wrongly committed and that this broke the system of law. This speech and numerous other thing like the Chicago tribunes article made Illinois in 2011 to 2010 abolish the death penalty. The reason i believe the death penalty is morally wrong because many people are wrongly committed and put to death for no reason at all. I am very glad that the death penalty is abolished and i thank everyone involved in the end of the death penalty in Illinois.

No easy Answer

The book i am Reading is called No easy answers the truth behind death at columbine by Brown and Merritt. I am currently on page 50 and i do believe that video games did not cause Eric and Dylan to shoot up the school. They may have got there technics for the video game doom but its not the game industries fault that two kids took the game serous. There is kids that look at games as a joke and escape reality and there is those ids that take it serous. Its not the games that cause to shoot up schools it bulls bulling people and they get crazy and melt down cause the bully wont quit. So they feel the best way to take care of it is kill him/herself or others to escape their life.

Death Penalty responce to the movie deadline

Race plays a huge factor in the death penatly. I was a rasic tim back in the 1900 and if you werent white you were poor you had a big chance of getting put on deadrow. I n the movie deadline David Keaton a black male was put on death row. He was later found innocent this just proves that he was put as the mudere in the case because he was black and poor. If h was a whit male who was rich they would have never exepectied him. Black people have been constantly wrongly convicted because of the members of the jury and the media. The death penalty is greatly supported in the states where it is allowed. The reason for this is that people like the death penalty because they get revenge. People that have lost a son or family memeber to some else always looks for an eye for an eye because they want to take some pain of and put it on that person.
What i believe is the big picture in most of the clemency cases is that they were wrongly committed mainly on rase and intense interigation. As said in the movie deadline some black people that were interifgated by the chicago police troched them to say it was them that commited the crime when they didnt. They could not with stand the pain from all the torch. We need to make sure that are justice is ture and not done wrongfuly.

Death Penalty

The stages in a court case helps determine whether or not someone will receive the death penalty.  In some of the stages that protect the rights of the accused. The defendant is innocent until proven guilty; there is a stage where the jury decides whether or not there is enough proof to accuse someone to receive the death penalty, which is a criminal hearing. They defendants has to be determined guilty without a reasonable doubt. After determining guilt or innocence, the jurors are tested by the court to see whether or not the accused should receive the death penalty. Than the prosecutor opinion of the death penalty. During this decision, the jury is required to consider the defendants background of his childhood to see if there is an traumatic incidents that are-accounted during his Young age. Also they look to see if the man has any mental retardation. The defendant is also protected in these stages by allowing for there to be a new trial if the accused felt there was not sufficient evidence or they can try to get clemency in order to not receive the death penalty. In my opinion these stages that the court set up do help to determine that a person is guilty. The jury also gives the defended a chance because they are not aloud to convict someone if the they ate unsure.  This just proves that the defendant has a fair judged case with all these process that go through a regular court system.options to be fairly judged.
If the defendant is proven guilty and is given the death penalty there are many was of execution one is getting hung, firing squad, and three lethal injection. The firing squad and being hung are very inhumane. Most people don fully die when they are hung, their neck does not fully break and they slowly die by being suffocated. When use the firing squad method, the shooter can sometimes miss the vital organs by intention or by accident. The prisoner them would die a slowly death. I think these two methods are inhuman and are considered cruel and unusual under the Eighth Amendment. The reason it is cruel and unusual is because we have the technology such as lethal injection that makes you die with out pain.
The charts i looked at showed the 16 states had the death penalty. Another interesting fact i found was only 12 people have been executed during 1976 but over all Texas has killed 475 death row inmates. What really strikes me is that Texas has a murder rate of 5 per 100,000 and are own state has a higher rate of 5.5 per 100,000. The method that we use is lethal injection. On other charts I saw, a few of the states had over 1200 people executed in that one state alone before the year 1976.
This really shocks me because we really never know who many of these people were killed when they might have been innocent. If the system just waited for more evidence we could have save many life's.
