Affirmative Action
I personally believe that putting race as a admission policie is wrong. To be honest it makes us more raises that we are just letting a student into the school because of the color of his/hers skin. In the article a group of minority's say the ban of the affirmative action right is taking some of their civil rights away. If anything we are giving back there civil rights. We should not except someone just because of their color. We are all equal which means that we should all be excepted equally by are GPA, are test scores, and are life experiences. If we let minority's have the affirmative action act we would be putting minority's under white Americans which is racist. I deffently aguree with Ward Connerly, who is defending Proposition 209, arguing that all UC applicants should be treated equally and shouldn't be classified by race or sex. Ward is hundrad precent correct because thats just putting other races under use which is making the problem wores. Also in the article Brown states that if we do consider this act it will help more minortitys to a higher education and create a diversity. I do agree with this is some exstent but minoritys can still get into a good school with good grades or a hard life experince. Also im sure that there will be enough minoritys that do adamically well to create some diverstiy in the colleges.

You need to use more specifics and details to support your opinion. Also work on analysis to describe WHY you come to the conclusions that you do.
ReplyDeleteYour blog overall has your authentic, honest voice but you need to be sure to update regularly. More significantly you need to develop your ideas much more. One or two sentences for a post is insufficient. This reads more like a facebook wall than a blog full of well supported and provocative ideas. Finally, proofread your work. Remember the world can see these posts. How will your readers react when there are so many spelling and grammar errors? Might they not take your ideas as seriously as you would like them to?
